Its high speed-low torque capabilities make it ideal for a variety of applications, including industrial machines. The following are some of the common uses for spur gears. A spur gear transmission can be external or auxiliary. These units are supported by front and rear casings. They transmit drive to the accessory units, which in turn move the machine.
